Merry Christmas! Just wanted to tell you we had more compliments on our Golden Haus pup from people who work with dogs for a living. We went to see our son (to deliver an engagement ring!), so we boarded Frankie. When we went to pick her up, they all said what a nice dog she was, and that they could tell she had some training. They said they "all loved Frankie". We wanted a German Shepherd with a nice temperament and we sure got it! We are so happy with our pup! Just wanted you to know you're good breeders
Dear Roger,
Melody continues to grow in body and mind (sometimes a devious mind when chewing on something she know she shouldn’t have! ha-ha). She has been a joy to me and a companion in the vet truck as I do field service calls. She is always nearby but independent enough to go on her own within the allotted distance. Her permanent incisors are starting to come in and she is getting stronger and more coordinated. Five mile walks/easy hikes are not a problem for her and she loves tasting the water in every little stream we cross. She also surprised me one day when she showed me how she could get water to drink if she was thirsty. She went to a wet part of the yard and in a matter of 1 minute dug a hole 8 inches deep that filled with water. I was impressed more than she was when I washed her feet off before she went into the house. I have attached a couple of pictures from our walks. She has turned out to be a beautiful puppy! (Inside and out). You were right when you asked me what kind of a dog I wanted and I gave you my “shopping list” and your response was “You just described Melody!” Thank you again!

Chyna just had her 5th birthday on July 11th and is doing great!!! Cyan just went to the vet and had a check up and weighs 91 pounds!!!! The vet said he’s healthy and looks great! The vet also said Chyna and Cyan are the best behaved Shepherds she sees in her office. They are so spoiled and so loved!!!! Attached a pic for you two to see how big and beautiful they are!! Hi Roger and Mary, I can't believe 6 months have gone by, but Zeke (Franklin from Ike and Jinx litter) is doing great! He's a very handsome boy and about 65 lbs. He loves being outside and loves to chase the geese and play catch! Although he is extremely stubborn, he's very smart, loyal and loving. He wants to be with us all the time. We take him camping and he loves to get in the creek and run around! He gets lots of attention everytime we go!
He is very much a pleaser and is not motivated by treats at all. He's very good at his commands and some tricks! He does sit, down, come and heel very well and we also taught him to turn around in a circle, high five and shake. He can even flip the food off of his nose and into his mouth! He loves doing all of those before every meal.
Raising a puppy may be a little harder than a baby lol, but we are in love with him. Even when his stubbornness is in full force, he's still our buddy and we love having him around!
I will send more updates as he gets older.

Whiskey is a joy!! She spent her first Christmas on the beach running and swimming with her teens.- pic below. She Weighed in today (1/26/2018) at a solid 80 pounds at 7.5 months!!
Loves her weekly trips to the dog beach to run and swim. A great neighborhood citizen as she is friendly with all the dogs -even the small jowel nippers. She is as much a jumper as a back talker!! First dog we have ever allowed on the bed - her 6:30am morning ritual is a leap up to wake us and then cuddle. Or to play with a toy. Thinks it is her larger dog bed. Dave is leash training her and she is quick to learn. |

Rick and Elaine, from up north in Michigan, recently sent this cute video to us and we had to share. Hollie, now Maggie, was born March of 2016 and is out of Shelby and Ike. She is a lovely girl and as you can see, really loves her humans, both big and small. Just a great family dog that plays with her kids and is gentle and trustworthy with the little ones.
On Jan. 21, 2015, Heather writes this wonderful letter to us about her new 8 1/2 week old pup she got from us just 3 days ago. We had to post it!
"Maya" aka Lili'ana is doing amazing! She cries to go outside and has had only one accident in the house which wasn't a big deal at all.... Too easy! She is empathetic and loving....feisty and playful.....smart and athletic. I could go on and on. I absolutely adore her! She is loving the 91 acres of running space and learning to share with her other furred siblings. She is so pretty too... Very thankful for this awesome pup! On June 7, 2014, we had the honor of placing two of our babies with Nikki and Jay, owner's of a very well run local animal hospital and vet clinic, and extremely nice people.
Esme and Gabe went to great homes but we will miss them. Fortunately they are not far away and we will get to see them again soon! |

Hi! She is doing so well! The trip was actually a breeze. She didn't cry at all (although she did lose her breakfast). She is such a great puppy with a leash and has only had two accidents in the house. I have been meaning to email you with an update, but gosh, taking care of a puppy is a full time job! She is nipping a bit and gets all riled up about mid morning, but it seems like pretty typical puppy stuff. She's been exploring all over town and making tons of friends. It's so great how many businesses in this town are dog friendly. Vet and training appointments are scheduled for next week. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with her! It really is worth it to invest in a dog bred for its smarts and temperament rather than for looks, or money. Here are some links to pictures of her taken today. I hope all the other puppies are finding good homes!

Hello Roger and Mary, hope you are all doing well. We just wanted to let you know how Henley (Francine) is doing. She is GREAT! she weighs a little over 67 lbs and is 26 in tall and she's only 10 months old! She is such a great dog, very loving and smart. She LOVES tennis balls. We have one of your granddaughters from the Andre vom Schattendal and ingold’s raven claw breeding. She is absolutely wonderful. great temperament and good drive for what we want. she is a house dog, and we have taken her through obedience training. Our goal is to have her as a therapy dog. We are thinking about getting a male for her as a companion, and would like to have some family lineage as she is such a great dog and hoping we could get lucky again. No plans in breeding her at all. thanks, and you do have beautiful animals! Jim

He has just finished his puppy classes with our trainer at the doggie daycare we take him. He has done so well! He knows how to sit, down, implied stay, and heel. And he is almost 100% potty trained, the few accidents he has had were our fault. He is such a smart boy, and learns so quick! We are so proud of him!! Here are a few pictures....I just wanted to let you know I couldn't love him anymore! He is such a wonderful addition to our family! I hope you can see he is having a great time!
